About

One dad built this.

I’m Asa. I built Apex Dad for myself before it was for anyone else.

The honest version: I knew exactly what kind of father I wanted to be. I could describe him in detail: patient, present, phone down, the kind of dad who writes things down for his kids so they have something of him that lasts. Knowing all of that changed almost nothing. I kept meaning to write things down. I kept meaning to slow down. Meaning to, for years.

So I built the thing that makes me do it. A handful of small reps spread across an ordinary day: an honest gut-check before the house wakes up, a breath, an intention, moving my body, phone fully down with my kids, a minute of gratitude before sleep. Then it grew a journal, and a coach that actually remembers what I told it last week, and letters my kids will read when they’re older. Somewhere in there it became something worth handing to other dads.

A few things I want to be plain about:

  • This isn’t made by a wellness company. There’s no growth team, no content calendar, no incense. It’s one dad and the app, and when you email asa@apexdad.app, I’m the one reading it.
  • I use it every day. The coach conversation on the homepage is a real thread, not something written for the website.
  • It’s free right now, and what you write in it is yours. The terms and privacy policy say that in plain words.

I don’t think an app makes anyone a good father. Showing up does. Today, and then again tomorrow. Apex Dad exists to make the showing up a little harder to skip. If it helps you be in the room with your kids a little more often than you would have been, it’s doing its job.
